What Should You Do when a Co-Worker is Getting on Your Nerves?

Tell Your Boss when a Co-worker is Getting on Your Nerves

Psychic
Your job can be extremely stressful and when you have a co-worker that is working along side you that is very stressful to be around, it can make your day at work be a huge problem. You have to understand that a job should not have to include someone that is getting on your nerves. There are two ways out of this dilemma and both of them end on a sour note. Bosses love to hear about worker problems because they want to make sure that you are happy when you come to work. Let's face it; the happier you are at work, the more work you are going to produce for the company. It's best to just tell your boss in a private meeting what another co-worker is doing to upset you. You may want to not cause waves at your work place because you may be working in a very small office. However your job is a place that you come to work and make money with. You have to understand that not everyone there is going to like you and not everyone in a job is going to think that you are the greatest either.

You have to understand that your career is extremely important to you. You have to confront your boss about this and allow them to talk to the person that is getting on your nerves. It doesn't matter how offensive they take it because sometimes they have to be confronted before they will actually go out and create a change. You have to also realize that you are a unique individual and people have to respect you for who you are and for what you do. Not everyone on every job is going to like you. You have to either tell your boss that you are having problems with your fellow co-worker at work or confront the co-worker yourself. Most people hate to be confrontational because they fear rejection or hurting someone else's feelings. However the sooner that you tell someone that you are no longer interested in talking to them if they act a certain way, the quicker that things will just begin to happen for you. You must realize that you have to talk to an individual co-worker directly if you are going to change the way that they think about you or treat you. Don't act like you know the co-worker because you don't. You may have to confront the one issue that is bothering you and believe it or not, people tend to appreciate you more after the fact. If someone is getting on your nerves at work, you have to confront them and tell you how you feel or else they will never know. Sometimes it takes a good conversation to convince a co-worker that you can't take it anymore. Remember that you are in charge of your own destiny and you have the right to fight for what you know to be right. Don't worry about hurting someone else's feelings because sometimes you have to hurt someone else in order to bring about change. However, you will feel better knowing that you can go to work on a daily basis not having to deal with the same problems over and over again.

You are a very important person and others have to see that as well. You have to understand that no everyone that works with you knows their own personalities and it can often be very draining. Don't abuse yourself emotionally. Just get into the habit of being confrontational and you will be able to see that what you say really matters and you will feel better about yourself for opening up to others that are only out to hurt you.
