What to Consider when Choosing a Magician for Your Child's Birthday Party

Make This Birthday Magical

Magic shows are entertaining and impressive to watch. For children, magic shows hold more allure than ever. They definitely are more awe inspiring that a clown who does a few funny things and creates balloon animals. Therefore they are great for a child's birthday party. If you want the moment to be magical you need to consider a few things before you hire just any magician for your child's birthday party.

There is more to consider than just cost when it comes to hiring a magician to perform a magic show for your child and his/her friends. Take the time to interview several magicians to ensure that you get one that meets your needs and wants. The cheapest magician may not be the best option and the same goes for the more expensive ones. So look at each magician's price and what they are offering during their show and then you will know who will be the best for you.

Kid and age appropriateness is something to look at. After all you do not want to be 10 minutes into the show and have a magician that spouts off some off the wall humor not suitable for kids. So make sure that the magicians that you are interviewing are willing to share their routine with you before hand. At least the verbal aspect of the show should be available for you to view before hand. If a magician tells you that they have a set magic routine but that they just wing the verbal part of the show, then it is best to look else where.

Audience participation is another area to look at when deciding which magician to hire for the magic show for your child's birthday. Children do not like to sit still and just watch for very long. A magic show that has audience participation will have your child and his/her friends engaged and entertained far more than a sit and watch only magic show. Imagine as a child how neat it would be to take part in a magic show.

Does the magician only utilize magic tricks or does the magician use magic and lighting effects to hold the children on the edge of their seat? Remember that children bore easily and a magic show that has more than just magic tricks is sure to keep their attention. So try to find a magician that will keep them guessing over and over again just what is going to happen next. A good magician will be willing and able to hold the children in that magical moment with more than just a few tricks.
