You will want to begin by hitting your start button on the lower corner of your desktop, and click on all programs. From there, you will find and click on Daemon Lite. This starts the program for you, and most users only set up the basics, so the toolbar for the program will load on the bottom of your screen in your toolbar.
Now you will right click on the icon for your program Daemon Lite in the toolbar, and then left click on the Virtual VD/DVD Rom area. This opens a small window and gives you two options to choose from. You will always want to hit the first one, which will say Device 0: F: Empty. This will open another new window when you click on it.
Left click on the top option that shows in this new window. It will say Mount Image, which means that you are going to open the program or file that you are going to specify. Now a new window opens again, and it will tell you that you need to select an image file. On the far left side of the window is a directory of your computer and all of the files therein. You can go directly to the file or program that you want to mount or open now by clicking on the main file directory that it is listed under and then finding the exact file.
Double click on the file you are going to mount or open. Daemon Lite then knows what you want to open, and it will begin to mount the file. Once it is recognized as a supported file type, you can play your game without burning it to disk. IF you mounted a game, no more choices will be available to you, you will simply get to play the game. If this is a picture that you mounted, you will have the option of loading it into an email to send to other recipients, or save it to a disk.
You can make more than one 'virtual' drive using this program. If you need two drives to be able to burn a certain type of game or program, simply right click on the icon for Daemon again. Go up to the virtual drive again, and click on Set Number of Devices. This gives you the option of setting up enough drives to run or burn any program available on the market. Now you have all the tools you need to burn or play that game you illegally downloaded by torrent, and you never have to install it on your computer!
