The Chatter Box Plan allows you to have some advanced calling features. The set up is so easy. I can appreciate that because many times when you are getting a new phone service set up it can take half the day. When we recently had Charter set us up it took three hours! So, no three hour waits with Lingo. Some other benefits that make this company worth it, is that you get free equipment. You get to call anywhere around the US for free; and not only that but you have unlimited calls to 22 Countries!
Another great and convenient feature is that you can check your voicemail not just from your phone, but from the web too! When you get started you get 1 month free and free activation! Who even does that anymore? If for some reason you are not satisfied there is a 30 day money back guarantee.
There are features and benefits that I thought you might want to know about. You are able to choose whatever area code you want. Of course it's always better to choose the one you are living in so that your friends can call you for free, but if you are not concerned about that then pick which ever area code you want!
Toll free numbers are available too if you prefer that over a traditional phone number. This is great if you are going to be out of the country for a spell and you want people to be able to get a hold of you without busting their budgets than this is a great option for you.
You can also use this service if you ever need to do a little three way calling. I don't really know who use three way calling anymore, but it is there if you ever need it.
If on a particular you just don't want to talk to anyone than you can just press *78 and all your calls will go directly to voicemail without your phone ever ringing.

Post a CommentI recently signed up for Lingo and there are some things they didn't tell me that would have caused me to change my mind if I had known. First, since it hooks to your DSL modem, your phone jacks become inoperable. The only way to have multiple phones is to have everything go through the single jack on the Lingo box. If you have an alarm system which uses a phone line it will not work. I spent 6 hours back and forth between Lingo and Brinks Security and even had the Brinks tech out. Nothing worked. I ended up having to switch back to my old Verizon service to make the alarm work. When I called to cancel my Lingo service they told me that I would be charged $100 cancellation fee. I had asked when I ordered the service if my alarm would work with Lingo and they said it would. So now their product misrepresentation is costing me $100, plus a month's lost alarm service and reconnection fees with Verizon. There is nobody you can talk to about it either, because they are all in Indi
