Have you ever had that feeling that you have experienced something before?
The feeling of 'Déjà vu' (Deja vu) or better known to the person who has experienced the unusual sensation as, having been there before - maybe they have.
Science will explain the sensation of Deja vu as being an unusual phenomenon, which involves information being stored in the short-term (current) or long-term (past) memory regions of the brain.
The feeling that a person has been there before could be that the long-term memory becomes confused with the short-term memory of an individual, giving rise to the feeling of past recollection in a fleeting moment - in layman's terms.
People who are guided along a spiritual path in life may consider Deja vu to be one in which a previous life of theirs is being re-enacted, or reincarnation to those who wish to be more spiritual with descriptions.
Some people believe that they are having premonitions of a future event; almost as if their intuition is trying to tell them something is about to happen - such as an earthquake.
Déjà vu has been recognized way back in human history, having been discussed and speculated upon by many great thinkers of the past. It is a subject that is still revered in modern day science, too which Déjà vu still cannot be fully logically explained.
In many ways Deja vu is as mystical and mythical as it is a forensic condition of the mind, a heightened state of human consciousness with seemingly limitless boundaries. Maybe it is true that we as humans do have a future destiny lay out in front of us, and sometimes we cross the path in which we ourselves have already traveled or due to journey upon. Or it could be that our brain is simply working at a millisecond behind its usual rate.
But what if we experience Deja vu far in advance of an event, and actually do remember the event as it transpires?
Does this mean that we do actually have the ability as human beings to see into the future?
The range of speculation and imagination when trying to explain the rudimentary principles of Deja vu will always be shadowed by confusion and myth for the most of us.
But many people will simply shrug the experience off as just a glitch in their memory, not even recognizing the fantastic event that has just been conceived in their brain.
The human brain is a truly magnificent design in nature, an equally unrestrained tool for human thought and study by medical science. A vast place in which science discovers something new almost every day and it is the birthplace of ideas and genius logic.
Our brains are truly unique to each and every single one of us, we organize our thoughts and try to rationalize logic, but when we experience Deja vu for the most of us it will be quite a defining or special moment - one we often like to share with the words, "I have just had Déjà vu!"
