What the Deuce? a Review of Monopoly: The Family Guy Edition
The Animated Griffin Family Takes Over the Monopoly Board Game
The two come together on the Family Guy version of Monopoly. Here's a detailed explanation and review of the board game.
The properties in Family Guy Monopoly
Every specialized edition of Monopoly has its own properties. The Family Guy version offers Petoria as its Boardwalk and the Pewterschmidt Mansion is Park Place. Family Guy fans will remember that Petoria is the nation Peter created when he realized that his land was technically not part of the United States. The Pewterschmidt Mansion is the home of Peter's father-in-law.
The least-expensive property, normally Mediterranean Avenue, is Chris' Closet, which even in the game is inhabited by the Evil Monkey. Community Chest cards have been replaced by Giggity! Giggity! Giggity! cards, and What The Deuce? replaces Chance. The railroads are now four distinct forms of transportation, including Peter's Fishing Boat and the Pope Mobile.
The dreaded luxury tax, situated between Boardwalk and Park Place, is now Workplace Sensitivity Training. Among the other familiar Quahog locales that serve as properties in the Family Guy edition are Quagmire's House, Asiantown, Mayor West's Mansion, and Channel 5 News.
The money and playing pieces in Family Guy Monopoly
Each member of the Griffin family exists as a pewter playing piece that captures his or her personality. The Chris character is picking his nose. Brian is holding a mug. Stewie is seated in a high chair holding his ray gun.
As for the money, they are arranged in what some might say is a popularity hierarchy. Poor Meg is on the $1, with Chris on the $5 bill, Lois appearing on the $10, and Brian on the $20. Baby Stewie graces the $50, while the $100 features Peter and the $500 shows the entire Griffin family.
Family Guy Monopoly: Good Christmas gift?
The Family Guy edition of Monopoly is just like the original, only funnier. Each property and What The Deuce? card takes you back to a moment in the show, so if you're a Family Guy fan, it's more fun and entertaining than the original Monopoly board game.
Family Guy Monopoly would make a great Christmas gift or birthday present for anyone who enjoys the show.

I'm not a fan of Family Guy, but this sounds like fun!
sounds awesome, thnx for the heads up!
I'm sure this game is amusing, but does it contain any of the crass humor of the show?
Nicely written.
Excellent work here!
