Dia de Los Muertos is a holiday that is celebrated with honor and pride in Mexico. Basically Dia de Los Muertos is a celebration of the dead. Dia de Los Muertos or Day of The Dead is a special day to remember family members or friends that have passed away in the past. On Dia de Los Muertos many families talk about their loved ones, and the memories their loved ones left behind. Every year when Dia de Los Muertos comes up my family usually remembers and talks about my hard working aunt. We talk about the funny things she did and how she died, and we get the sense of her being there on that day.
Dia de Los Muertos is a day that you offer your past away family members food by religious candles in your house, many families leave the food all day by the candles so the past away soul will feast for their special day. Many families in Mexico as well as my family go visit the graves at the cemetery and put flowers on their grave to let the past away loved ones that you care and think of them.
