What Did Both Pro- and Anti-mosque Protesters Prove on September 11, 2010?

Both sides could and should have chosen any other day for their protests rather than marring the solemnity of the day and insulting America's martyrs.

I don't question the wisdom of building or not building any prayer house on ground zero.

Because building any church or synagogue or mosque for worshiping God is always good BUT will not erase history.

* If somebody can become a believer in God only if his or her prayer house is built on Ground Zero, go for it by all means.

* If somebody will lose his faith in God if his or her prayer house is not located on Ground Zero, go for it by all means.

!! But if a house of prayer is being built to hoodwink God-created humans or whitewash crimes against such God-created humans, then the person or persons building it is hoodwinking God !!

9/11/2001 is not a date that can be wished or erased away that easily.

That wound will always remain in the psyche of this nation.

And the psyche of this nation had been irrevocably changed on that fateful day.

It is etched in the history of not only this nation but of the whole world with the blood of three thousand innocent human beings. In fact that fateful date has already found its undeniable place in time line of the history of this planet. Even far away countries are affected by the laws enacted by their own governments in the aftermath of that tragedy.

So, any amount of money pouring from any corner of the world will not be erasing the changes that tragedy brought into the thinking of this nation and the world.

I can only laugh when people calling themselves as scholars and attired in their best dresses pronounce wishful, over-smart words before the media that they are going to rewrite American history and change the way America is thinking.

It was plain cold-blooded murder of three thousand innocent human beings. And only humans plotted it and committed it. Neither God did it, nor any other animal species did it. Human species did it.

Building a prayer house, be it church, synagogue or mosque, will not change that stark, shameful truth.

When God endowed humans with brains, he would never have expected such gruesome murders being committed by man against man.

In fact, most holy books say that God made humans in his own image. Then how can humans even think of harming, let alone killing another of their own species?

Yet, that crime against humanity happened. And a crime is a crime, whatever way we want to whitewash it or dump it into the garbage can of history with over-smartness.

It won't go away.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote,

"This passing moment is an edifice
Which the Omnipotent cannot rebuild."

8:46 a.m. and 9:03 a.m.on 9/11/2001 too were two such moments which cannot be just wished away now, however much we try.

Some of us had the choice not to commit crimes against innocents in those moments but they did. Even if they didn't want to do good , they could have avoided doing bad, still they did.

That is also what history tells us.

The world saw how the murder of one prince in a small nation mothballed into a world war. The first war didn't solve the strife that murder created and further metamorphosed into another large-scale war. But did the human species learn its lessons? No.

Whenever and wherever innocent blood has been shed, each drop has come back with a vengeance for justice which human law had failed to provide. And this tragedy is no exception.

Whether we the living "dead" want to forget it or forgive it, the departed souls needn't. Even if the culprits may feel a reprieve for now, that is going to be short-lived.

Yes, the living - even if educated, moneyed or powerful - have no control over the law of the dead! Only that some of us will not be living when that justice is carried out.

So both pro- and anti- mosque protesters don't have anything to brag about other than of making fools of themselves because the departed souls are no longer in the "opportunistic" realm of "over-smart and vain" human intelligence.

Otherwise, whatever be their complaints, they would not have dishonored this day of national remembrance. They could have chosen any other day for their protests, be it pro- or anti-.

Every holy book says, "Never commit murder." Yes, that stands even if the richest man on earth finances it.

Because nobody can make predictions on how the final judgment from beyond will come around, even if it takes years. There are no human remedies against that judgment; no temporal courts here on earth hand out those final verdicts.

So even if American law finally closes the case, that will be small comfort for the culprits of 9/11 or their descendants because the case is closed only on earth, not beyond!

If anybody, be it pro- or anti- mosque, thinks the departed souls are just helpless dust or ash now is mistaken.

Because those three thousand souls are now citizens of a higher world than we are. They neither need our support or enmity, whitewash or appeasement. Such gimmicks by the living "dead" do not affect them at all.

Nor can such tricks foil the ultimate justice they mete out to those among us who schemed and snuffed out their human existence - actions that are reserved for God, the Creator.

Humans cannot play God, even if they are priests or call themselves men of God.
