The Revenge Society
Revenge aka Phantom Limb is back and seeks (guess what) revenge against the Guild. He infiltrates their Headquarters, with the help of a toaster. He kidnaps two of the councilmen. We learn that the councilmen have no idea where each other are while they are interrogating. Phantom Limb has also kidnapped Billy and made him attach Councilman 8's head onto Councilman 3's body. As the two-headed councilman tries to read the stolen Guild Charter, we learn Limb's grandfather originally kidnapped them in 1959 in order to start a band. Apparently, the Guild is full of musicians, now we have The Bigger Bopper and Buddy Holly. Limb admits he's looking for the ORB. Billy (now in a sack), says it's in the Venture Compound. We learn Limb is totally crazy as he introduces the Revenge Society. Yes, the "society" is a toaster, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch's stolen shoe and a coffee mug. Meanwhile, the Venture lawn is covered in Guild operatives. We learn from Dr. Venture that wetnaps are great for cleaning puke off speedsuits. Billy and the councilman get the ORB. Limb waits as the Sovereign shows up. He proclaims that Dean Venture is the rightful Sovereign, not the usurper Limb. Dean quickly hands his new power back to Sovereign Bowie. In a flashback, we learn that Lloyd Venture wasn't killed by his bodyguard, the ORB was broken instead. Limb tries to use the doomsday device on the group. Of course, nothing happens and he's taken down.
Self-Medication
We learn that your archenemy must stop arching while you go to your therapist. Dr. Venture is attending group therapy for former boy adventurers. Action Johnny, one of the Wonderboys, and a robot boy are among the members. The therapist also led the support group "Men before Henchman" from season 2. When it's Rusty's turn to share his story, the therapist falls over dead due to the venomous snake that's just slithered out of his pants. The group decides they must avenge his death. Following a matchbook "clue," they head over to the local strip club. They are prompted told to leave thanks to Action Johnny's sass mouth. A fight break out, complete with phrases like "Groin!," "Cower!," and "Judo!," whenever one of the adventurers gets some action. After their beat down, they decide Dr. Z needs to be questioned. Action Johnny's former nemesis tells the group they can't go chasing after every mystery and they need to grow-up. Dr. Venture realizes he has a business and family. He has grown up and doesn't need therapy. We learn the Monarch, still mad about his interrupted arching, ordered 21 to kill the therapist with the snake. Classic.
The Better Man
The Order of the Triad is fighting some Cthulhu type monster unleashed by their archenemy, Torrid. The monster throws Torrid into a portal to Hell. After getting beat, the Order is rescued by the Outrider, who is Dr. O's ex-wife's new husband. Back at the Venture's, Dr. Orpheus is trying to open a portal on the front lawn. Dean starts awkward and hilarious small talk with Triana. We learn Dr. O's portal doesn't work and his cat decided to use the tent part as a litter box. Frustrated, Orpheus visits his Master. The Master has taken the form of his ex-wife. We learn she's extremely hot. Afterwards, Triana catches the Order leaving her room. She walks into her still glowing closet and sees what life would be like married to Dean. It's not pretty and neither is Dean's description of what the baby of a clone looks like. The Master tells Triana to live with her mother and learn to use magic. Back at the real portal, the Order sees Torrid come back. Outrider follows him, but Torrid cast a spell and he falls over. Billy surgically removes the Eye of Osiris from Outrider's brain. Dr. O's kitchen glows red. He, Al, and Outrider are trapped in Hell. We learn Jefferson is magic and he helps them escape. Later on, Triana is getting ready to move in with her mom. There's a touching "break-up" moment between her and Dean. We learn they were never meant to be.
Pinstripes and Poltergeists
The last episode of season 4.1 opens with 21 talking to 24's ghost! The Monarch busts in the room. He can't see or hear ghost 24. In a spooky voice, 24 "tells" the Monarch that 21 wants his wife and has stolen one of her bras. The scene switches to a SPHINX theme sequence. Brock and Shore Leave are breaking into a lab where a non-Guild evil scientist is working on a deadly stink bomb. They're seen next taking a tomato soup bath to get rid of the stink. Meanwhile, The Monarch makes a deal with Monstroso to take down Venture for good, with zoning violations. Dr. Venture gets an email saying 75% of his place must be used for the "upkeep of American rightness." Back at the Cocoon, 21 learns from a stolen Blackberry that Monstroso plans on taking the Monarch's property as well. A little while later, the Moppets run into the room and exclaim that 21 has gone to attack Monstroso. We learn that Dr. Mrs. the Monarch is getting annoyed with her creepy Moppets. (Yay!) The Monarch is very happy to learn this too. At the compound, Dr. Venture is convincing Pete and Billy to sign a lease to fulfill his zoning issues. They walk into an old factory type building that is actually the Headquarters of SPHINX. After SPHINX's history and need for secrecy is explained, an intruder alarm sounds off. It's 21 waiting to ambush Monstroso. Brock confronts him. After an amazing fight, in which 21 holds his own, he tells Brock what's going to happen. They team up and attack Monstroso at his office. Later, Brock is sitting in the Venture kitchen, bloody and eating cereal. Hank walks in and absentmindedly says good night to him. He walks away and the sound of his water glass is heard shattering.
Will Brock go back to being the Venture bodyguard? What happens to Sgt Hatred if he does? Will the Monarch and 21 kill the Moppets? (That's just a wish of mine.) Will we ever meet Dermott's mom and is Brock really his dad? Hopefully by the end of Venture Bros season 4.2 we will have the answer to these and many other questions.

Post a Commenti have a few theories of things that might come up as well... but first to comment on your questions... i also hope they kill the moppets, a while ago i read a rumor that after this season there would be a mini season of all brock, so i don't there will be alot of him again, i think its clear brock is dermott's dad, not sure about the mom... now for my out there theories, phaton limb's grandfather is still alive (rewatch revenge society and you'll see why i think that) and dr venture has been working on a time machine
WOW! I've never watched this show...sounds very confusing! Must be one of those that you need to watch from the very beginning.
Thanks :)
