The combination of America's fascination with celebrities and the fact that many American's are overweight have many wondering what kind of diet their favorite celebrity is using. With a few exceptions here and there - need Rosie O'Donnell be mentioned - celebrities stay in pretty good shape. Picking up the latest copy of People magazine will illustrate this point. How many out-of-shape celebrities are pictured in this magazine?

Will knowing the diet of your favorite celebrity change your eating habits? If so, then maybe a list of celebrities and the diets they use will help.

Possibly the most popular diet plan among celebrities is The Zone Diet by Dr. Barry Sears. The Zone recommends a ratio of 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein and 30% fat. It also recommends eating at particular time intervals to avoid hunger. The list of celebrities on The Zone include Jennifer Anniston, Bill Clinton, Bill Cosby, Cindy Crawford, Charlie Sheen, Demi Moore, Howard Stern, Janet Jackson, and Sandra Bullock.

The Master Cleanse Diet, also known as the Lemonade Diet, is basically a ten-day fasting diet drinking nothing but lemonade. The theory is not to necessarily lose weight, but to regain vitality. Celebrities that have used this to 'skinny-up' include Beyonce and Robin Quivers.

The Supermarket Diet was developed by the editors at Good Housekeeping. It teaches how to read labels on packaged foods found in the supermarket and restricts calories to 1200 each day during the first two weeks. One celebrity that used this plan is Jessica Alba.

Possibly the most popular diet-celebrity combination recently is Kirstie Alley and the Jenny Craig diet. She is, of course, the spokesperson for the Jenny Craig diet. They will custom-make a diet plan and have centers for customers to attend. They also have pre-packaged meals that can be delivered to the customer's door.

There are also many celebrities that have personal trainers that provide custom diet plans and work out regimens. This may tend to get a little pricey for the average American. But many local fitness centers will provide the same services for its customers.

Whether knowing what diet plan your favorite celebrity uses will inspire you to lose weight, or if you are just curious, this demonstrates that celebrities too are human. They face the same problems many Americans face when it comes to staying fit and looking good. Of course, what works for one doesn't always work for another, which is why not all celebrities use the same diet plan.
