Pet insurance is naturally low because the relative cost of work done to your pet is considerably less than it would be to you if you were to get sick or injured. Doctor bills and/or hospital bills are astronomical because of the types of things that are demanded to help us get better and be entertained as we do. The cost of pet insurance can range anywhere from $10 per month to $100 per month and rarely goes over it unless you are insuring horses or exotic birds.
The difference in price usually has to do with the difference in the animal you are insuring or the breed of that animal. For instance, if you are putting insurance on a common housecat that doesn't ever go outside and is the only pet in your home you will likely be paying around $10 per month. If you are insuring a large dog that goes outside often in a rural area you will likely pay a higher premium as the likelihood of injury or illness being contracted is so much greater.
Now, there are ways for you to save money on your pet insurance coverage and it is much the same as other types of coverage are. For instance, if you have multiple pets in your home you will likely be able to save money by having all of them insured with the same company. This allows the company to reward customers for bringing more of their pets and gives the business more regular payments that they otherwise may not have received.
So the key to remember is that pet insurance can be extremely affordable if you are willing to take the time to figure out what to do. Some companies may offer better deals than others for pets that meet certain criteria. You shouldn't worry about this criteria, just get as many quotes as you can and the rest will take care of itself.
