I have spent many years reading and researching on how to be successful, how to live the life I often dreamed of. Well, all that has gotten me is a crap load of books, CDs, and other sources of information that can be categorized as useless or dust collectors. Have I achieved anything of value, not that I am aware of. Have I made a difference in the world, I don't know?
Just like my father said, I have lived in a world in my own head. Full of delights and daydreams, what a beautiful place to be, yet not what my reality is. The following is my reality.
Spending a small fortune of money on; self-help books, seminars, e-courses, CDs, and the list goes on and on. Here's what I really did, I made someone else wealthier, someone else is living the life I dreamed of. Is this fair, no. It is what it is, you spent most of your life seeking, to only discover that you cannot get back those years. When I think of this, I would honestly like to just give up, break down, blame the world, but I cannot.
This wasted time was of my own doing, I searched of my own accord and I am not sure I have achieved anything of value to others.
And the woe's me can go on and on.
Is even writing this article of value? Who knows? I sound like some whinny little child who is too lazy to get up from my desk and get my own scissors.
So, for those of you who feel that you have wasted a fortune and a great deal of time. It isn't exactly true. You have all of that information and those many experiences, so put them in to practice, use them to serve others. Stop being afraid and make a difference, I am.
I am no local hero by any means, however, I believe that I do make a difference when I share a story or event or even something that I have read and the light turns on for someone who is in need. That is my glory, that is what I live to do, is share with others that which I have read and studied so that they may improve their lives.
No, I am not one of those people who profit from the discord of others. I am just an ordinary guy with a regular job, who likes to talk.
But I do remember this, I am only important when I help others feel important before me.
