What Do the Dreams You Have Really Mean? Part 2

Many people dream things that tend to worry them when they awaken. What did it mean, do I really feel that way? How did that happen, what was that about?

Sometimes what you dream about in theory is not really what you were dreaming about at all. No two people will have the same dreams mean the same things, since each person has a different background and emotion, as well as experiences. Your dream is connected to your reality, so the interpretation will come from your life and experiences. Dreams bring together your spirit, mind and body into one being. So to understand what your dream means, you will need to be able to understand the things going on in each of your body, spirit and mind.

Dreams of being chased most of the time come from you being anxious about an event in your waking life. People respond differently to pressure, and so this in turn can be a dream of being chased. Most often you dream of being chased by an attacker, who wants to harm you in some way or another. You run, hide and try to outsmart that other person, in hopes of escape. This may mean that you are dealing with a fear or stress in everyday life. Instead of confronting your problem in real life, you are avoiding it. In turn, in your dream you are running away.

Do you ever dream of your teeth falling out? This is a very common dream that comes from an anxiety about how you look, or how other people see you. In today's day and age, we focus so much on how we look, that this can plague those who do not feel they are up to par with the rest of their peers. Another reason for this dream could be that you feel powerless in a real life situation. Is there something going on that you cannot change, no matter what you do? This can be the root of your dream. It has been shown that menopause stage women now have these dreams, and is thought to represent the idea that getting older will make them unattractive.

Children dream differently than adults do, because our dreams are about the things we deal with in everyday life. Kids of ages three to five don't have a story line, or any emotional dreams. They do have nightmares about fears such as monsters and loud noises. Once a child reaches the teenage years, their dreams are much closer to an adult in meaning.

There is no scientific proof at this time of dreams predicting the future, although many people report dreams that at some point did come true later. You gather bits of information from everywhere when awake, and in turn your mind works on these things while you are asleep. So, you really unconsciously know what's going to happen and it just seems like the dream is coming true, as if you predicted the future.

Did you know that when we dream, it is most of the time in color? Sometimes it seems that our dreams are in black and white, but they are always in color. We don't always notice color in dreams, even though it is a natural part of our experiences daily. For most people, your dream fades within minutes of waking, so when we remember it, the dream may be thought of as being in gray shades. For most people though, any dream in black and white is a sad or depressing dream and means the same in waking life.

Lastly, the death dream rears its head. Can you really die in your dreams? Well, you can certainly experience death in a dream, but not die from it. A death in a dream normally stems from a huge stressor such as a relationship or depression, or a death itself. This can be seen as a new beginning, due to the ending of one stage of life.

I hope these things have given you insight as to how to look at your own dreams to help you in a waking state.
