What is Dulce De Coco?

Pure Writing
This article is for all those readers out there that like to eat sweets, and this is the perfect article for the lovers of sweets. The food I will discuss in this article is called Dulce de Coco or coconut candy, this candy is made a lot in Jalisco, Mexico and it's sold a whole lot all year round. The reason it sells is, because where it is made a whole lot is in a city called San Juan de Los Lagos in Jalisco, Mexico and this place is a religious city that attracts thousands of visitors all year round which help the vendors sell Dulce de Coco. In this article I will discuss what Dulce de Coco is, and what it is made out of.

Dulce de Coco is basically sold in bricks by the kilo and it's made in quantities, and customers buy Dulce de Coco a whole lot in Mexico where it is sold more than in the U.S. Dulce de Coco is the color of white and with a red side on one side of the brick. The taste is very sweet but not too sweet, and you can taste the sweet coconut and when you chew the Dulce de Coco you can feel the meat of the coconut in your mouth it's very fresh.

The ingredients in Dulce de Coco are very simple, but I only know a couple. Sugar and coconut are the main ingredients in the Dulce de Coco making process, but I'm sure there is other secret ingredients the vendors hide from the public. Because, if the vendors give out their secret recipes they would not be in business very long. The red color on the bricks of Dulce de Coco are done with food coloring, and the rest is white which is the original color of sugar and coconut. They way I eat Dulce de Coco is with a large glass of water, because it can get kind of sweet. Or I'll eat it for dessert after a meal especially after dinner during the day. But, the only problem is I don't have any right now so that means I have to make another trip to Mexico in the near future. Many Mexicans in Mexico including myself eat Dulce de Coco for breakfast with an un-sugared cup of coffee in the morning. I hope you will get the chance to try Dulce de Coco and please leave me comments.

how long does this treat stay good for if packaged? I bought some and wanted to send it to a friend for a gift, but not sure if it will still be good to eat in one month time when it would likely arrive. thank you!
