What is Estilo Grupero?

There are different time eras when people dress differently, and have different hair styles. The time era I would like to talk about is during the the early 1990s called Estilo Grupero. In this article I will explain how Estilo Grupero started, and I will describe the looks and dress styles of this time era.

Estilo Grupero started in the early 1990s and I am guilty of dressing like this at that time. The main people who started this trend were the Grupero Groups or the Mexican music bands at that time. And, at that time Grupero Music was hitting really big and everyone was falling in love to Grupero Music and everyone was happy.

Estilo Grupero consisted of the long hair and hair styled mullets, everyone was cheerful and happy to be seen in this style. The clothes consisted of a lot of leather pants and button down shirts and leather mini skirts were really in style. A lot of silk shirts were worn and unbuttoned halfway so their chest could be exposed a little. Also earrings on men were really hot at that time, if you wore an earring you were a ladies man and you were considered hot. But, styles come and go and soon Estilo Grupero faded near the 2000s and the new style called Estilo Duranguense came into existence and to this day this style is hitting big with the small cowboy hats and cloth pants.

Hip hop is very neat when you study it's origins and how it all started it actually has a history to it, it's very interesting. I never really appreciated Hip hop Culture until I took a Music Appreciation class in college. While taking this class Hip Hop got broken down from the very beginning of how it all started and how it all evolved to it's beat it has today.
