What is Eve Plumb's Beef with Her 'Brady Bunch' Sister?
Eve Plumb, Maureen McCormick Feud Puts the Kibosh on Brady Bunch' Cast Reunion
According to Radar Online, a scheduled Brady Bunch cast reunion was set to take place this week, only to be canceled at the last minute due to an ongoing feud between former cast mates Eve Plumb and Maureen McCormick.
Plumb and McCormick played sisters Marcia and Jan Brady on the popular ABC series The Brady Bunch from 1969 to 1974. The sister's relationship on the show sometimes centered around Jan (Plumb) and her jealousy of older sister Marcia (McCormick). But by the time the 22 minute episode ended, the girls were always friends again.
Not so in real life. Revelations in McCormick's 2008 tell-all book, Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice, may have caused friction between the two, as well as an off the cuff "joke" McCormick made a few years ago about her relationship with her TV sister.
According to FOX News, Plumb is still angry over McCormick's comments that the two had once been involved in a lesbian affair. Later McCormick said it was all a joke, but apparently Plumb is not laughing.
Brady Bunch fans have seen little of Eve Plumb since the series ended in 1974. While she participated in some reunion shows and even the silly 1980's series The Brady Brides, in recent years Plumb has stayed out of the limelight, making occasional acting appearances with little fanfare (still a pop culture icon, rock band Eve's Plum was named after Plumb).
But McCormick has been in the public eye quite a bit over the last few years, even airing all of her dirty laundry. McCormick penned her ultra-personal autobiography, starred on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club and appeared on The Dr. Phil Show, which included a tacky, televised intervention with her brother and father.
With this week's morning reunion show scrapped- and no sign of reconciliation between Plumb and McCormick- the older Brady kids may be senior citizens before we see them together again.
I say if the older girls can't play nice, just bring on Greg, Peter, Bobby and Cindy. Oh, and don't forget Alice the housekeeper, too.

Post a CommentI agree with Tricia, fun read and great title!
I'm with Tricia! Bad Bradys!
I think Eve needs to lighten up a little bit!
Sad that they can't get along. Everyone who ever watched the show expects them to be able to work it out.
