What Every Bride Needs to Know About Planning a Budget Summer Wedding
Summer Wedding Ideas and Tips for the Bride on a Budget
Summer Wedding Ideas - Budget Friendly Hairstyles
Check out the local cosmetology school for an inexpensive formal hairstyle. The students will love to practice their hairstyling skills on you! Call ahead to see if you can bring the entire bridal party for some girl bonding while you save money.
Summer is also a great time to let your hair down. You can always style your own hair. Part hair in the middle and wear a pretty garland of summer flowers. Another idea is to use hot rollers to create soft waves or curls perfect for the wedding portraits.
Summer Wedding Ideas - Easy and Low Cost Summer Wedding Flowers
Why drain your 401K just to buy flowers that will be wilted before the ink dries on the marriage license? Did your mother, sister, or best friend use silk flowers for her wedding bouquet? Ask if you can borrow it for a free and sentimental floral addition. It can be your something borrowed!
Silk flowers are an excellent option. No guest is going to scrutinize the bouquets to see if the flowers are real. Silk flowers can make lovely and inexpensive bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids. Best of all, you can display your bouquet after the wedding.
Summer Wedding Ideas - Wedding Photography on a Budget
If you hire a professional photographer, only have them take a few posed portraits of the bridal party. You should request a few shots of the bride, the bride and groom, the entire bridal party, and a couple of family pictures.
After that, have your friends take the pictures. Many couples are choosing the DIY option for their wedding photgraphs.
Most people have digital cameras and can copy the pictures onto a CD for you. Some of the best wedding pictures are candid shots.
You don't need a fancy backdrop. It's summer! Find some greenery in a garden or park to use as a free background for your wedding pictures.
Summer Wedding Ideas - Refreshments
Summer is the perfect time for an afternoon wedding. Schedule your wedding so that it falls between lunch and dinner. This way you can offer refreshments without having to pay for a full meal.
Make your own wedding punch to quench wedding guests' summertime thirst. In a punch bowl, combine one large bottle of Hawaiian Punch, one 2 liter of 7-UP, and a half gallon of vanilla ice cream. This is the perfect pink summer drink.
You don't have to sacrifice style to have a budget summer wedding. Remember, every penny you save on your wedding can go into building a future with your new spouse.

Post a CommentGreat ideas. I'm still debating whether or not I want a summer wedding - but I already have a park picked out, and a photographer (whom I'm splurging on because her photos are AMAZING.) I didn't really plan hair or anything, but I'll definitely take these into consideration. I don't think I see much point in getting hair done professionally, when I could just as easily do it myself. =] Great article!
LOL Patricia. I didn't do a lot of fancy things at my wedding. I figured a wedding lasts a day, but a marriage lasts a lifetime. I wanted to use my money to build a future.
More people should realize that $30,000 for a one-day party is such a waste! All people want is decent food and a lot of it, and enough booze not to care if there isn't!
Excellent budget wedding tips anytime of the year:)
