The Asus Eee PC 1000HE may just be one of the most advanced netbooks that can be purchased this summer, with; an absolutely amazing keyboard, sturdy and durable construction and glossy good looks, Asus may have finally hit gold with this wonderful netbook.

The majority of netbook owners purchase netbooks for three major reasons; the long battery life, the portability and ease of use and the price, and the Asus Eee PC 1000HE delivers on all three counts. The case looks vey classy and has a glossy finish with silver hinges along with the cursive Eee logo on the front covering. The netbook weighs 3.2 pounds and is approximately 1.4 inches which make it a breeze to travel with for extended periods of time. It may be a little heavier than other netbooks (since others weight on average 2.8 pounds) but this difference is negligible during transport. The netbook is easy to upgrade due to the easy access panel on the bottom and the hard drive and memory can be replaced and or upgraded in the blink of an eye.

The keyboard on the Asus Eee PC 1000HE is a chiclet style keyboard which is 92 percent of a general full size keyboard (an Acer supported claim) and is nice, firm and comfortable to use over extended periods. The touchpad on the Asus Eee PC 1000HE is also very large and hence easy to utilize and supports multiple gestures such as pinching to zoom in (similar to the iphone).

The Asus Eee PC 1000HE's display is exactly 10 inches with a display resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and displays videos and text crisply and without any washing out of colour whatsoever. The display also does very well in direct sunlight and offers very little glare. The resolutions can be alternated with the switch of a button depending on the function of the user (play games or type documents etc) and is truly an innovative feature.

The Asus Eee PC 1000HE also delivers a high sound quality and lyrics could be heard even at 50% of its maximum volume (which is impressive for a netbook). The microphone and webcam (1.3 megapixels) seen in the Asus Eee PC 1000HE are also excellent for a low budget device and delivered clear and accurate pictures and sounds.

The Asus Eee PC 1000HE has a 6 cell lithium ion battery which gives it a mammoth 7 hours battery life on a single charge. Many netbooks with a 6 cell battery yield only half this time during continuous usage. The Asus Eee PC 1000HE also comes with standard 1 year repairs and tech support under the Asus warrantee.

This netbook is the best "bang for your buck" device that may exist in mobile computing today.
