Company Qualifications
Everyone enters Mary Kay as an Independent Beauty Consultant. No one comes in at a higher level. This franchise does not hand out titles for money. Every perk, every ribbon, every prize has a meaning and has to be earned. Before becoming a director, you will have to satisfy the company's requirements. In order to enter Mary Kay DIQ you need to have 8 "active" team members and be "active" yourself. The term "active" means the member is good standing with Mary Kay and has placed an order with the company within the past three months. Once you have achieved these requirements you should talk to your director about filling submitting a DIQ request.
DIQ Goals
Mary Kay's Director in Qualification period may last two to four months. The average time needed to reach the goals set by the company is three months. Each month you and your team must work together to reach a wholesale team production of $5,000. At the end of the qualification period you will also be expected to have an organization of 30 active team members.
DIQ Graduation
At the end of the qualifying period if the Consultant has been successful she will enjoy DIQ graduation. She will be expected to attend a mandatory training period in Dallas, Texas and fulfill any required company duties there. The brand new Independent Sales Director will be rewarded with a graduation dinner or lunch at Seminar or Career Conference. She will be lavishly praised by her director and her "sister" directors.
Missing DIQ
Once you have achieved the status of Director, you will have to work to maintain your position. Missing production could cost you your coveted title. However, the company will work with new directors giving them advice and suggestions to help them boost their sales. If you miss DIQ, you'll have requalify and resubmit your DIQ forms.
Expect to work hard and endure some stress but if you love Mary Kay you'll find the extra work very rewarding.
