What Do You Know About the Mac Tablet or iSlate?

In this article I will go over the some details that have leaked out regarding the Apple Tablet, iSlate, iTablet or Mac Tablet. In theory the name is not yet known but rumors on the internet point to the names I just mentioned. January 26th or 27th is when Steve Jobs from Mac is supposedly going to release the big news with more details on this new product.

The rumors surrounding the Mac Tablet that Macintosh has been working on have been buzzing around the internet for many years, and it seems that 2010 is the going to be the year when Steve Jobs will finally share more details about this phenomenal product that is surely going to be a big hit amongst Mac fans and fans of computing and technology overall.

Some of the most common predictions and rumors are that the Mac Tablet will be about 7 to 10 inches in size and it will have a touch screen. Many are also saying that this device will be operated by a modified version of snow leopard or a modified version of the iphone touch operating system.

Hardcore fans hope for a snow leopard operating system since the expectancy of this device from fans is for it to have more features and a better hardware than common hardware that is already being utilized on systems like the net book. Mac lovers for the most part are hoping for a snow leopard operating system that is integrated to the touch screen technology.

Another unconfirmed rumor is that the iSlate or Mac tablet might come with an eyesight camera built in. This is not 100% sure yet, but if it does, many predict that you will be able to use your hand to swipe up and down in front of the camera or do many gestures that will be read by this eyesight camera. In theory, you could switch pages, scroll up and down a page and perform other tasks just by moving your hand in front of the camera.

If this camera is indeed a part of this new Mac tablet or iSlate device, you won't really need to touch the screen as often which is great because it gives you the option. In reality this type of technology has been around for a while only it hasn't been integrated into many devices, but by the way things are looking this will be the next big thing in the technological world.

A built in microphone is also expected to be a part of the package which gives the iSlate or Mac Tablet the potential to become a multidimensional device that will have a lot of demand by Mac fans and everyday people as well.

Another feature that many people are talking about is the haptic feedback touch screen on the iSlate. This means that a clicking sensation will be felt on your fingers as you type which is suppose to prevent any mistakes. Some people say that when using their iphone including myself, the touch screen can be deceiving and you might think that you pressed the button when in reality you didn't. The haptic feedback will take care of this minor but annoying problem.

The price range for the Mac Tablet or iSlate is expected to be between $500 to $1000 but this really will depend on how you customize it or if you get a modified version or not. I think that if the price is fair and the reviews backup the expectation, this device will sell out in stores in no time, just like we witnessed with the iphone.
