What to Expect from Season 6 Premier of House

Are viewers in store for any surprises on FOX's new season of House? I think so and am looking forward to the season premier.

Startling House Photo Shoot for the New Season

To begin with, the promotional photo shoots have shown everyone from the cast of the former season except Taub. I'm still pestered with the question of whether or not he committed suicide.

A new iconic photo for House is a photograph of Dr. Gregory House, actor Hugh Laurie, entwined with two snakes with wings behind him. It is a deliberate iconic representation of a Doctor's Caduceus.

According to Fox.com, the photograph was taken using real snakes. Hugh Laurie admitted he wasn't particularly fond of working with snakes, but wanted to help make the emblem as realistic as possible. He was successful and the emblem is just one of the surprises related to the new season of House.

How will FOX's hit television show that has been nominated for 17 Emmys, awarded two Golden Globes for Hugh Laurie's performance as Gregory House, nominated for two Golden Globes for Best Television Series Drama, and an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Drama Series top over 100 exceptional shows?

Where House Left us Hanging, Season Five

The last we saw of Dr. Gregory House he was taken by his friend and confidant Wilson, oncology doctor, to the asylum. Viewers were left hanging unable to untangle House's hallucinations from reality.

• Dr. Kutner (Kal Penn) may or may not have committed suicide.

• Amber, Wilson's former girlfriend appears and speaks to House night and day during every day activities and diagnostic brainstorming.

• Thirteen, Dr. Remy Hadley (Olivia Wilde) continued to battle the physical and emotional challenges of Huntington's disease.

• Thirteen and Dr. Foreman (Omar Epps) were involved in an intense relationship.

• Chase (Jesse Spencer) and Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) finally married.

• Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) satiated her mothering instincts by adopting a baby girl.

• Cuddy and House were left hanging, much like viewers, as to the direction their relationship would take. House clearly hallucinated the Huddy hook-up.

• House hallucinated trying to kick Vicodin.

What can House Fans Expect in the Season Premier?

There is a lot to resolve to get House back to investigative diagnosis. There are a number of issues House himself has to resolve. These will begin to unwind on the two hour season premier Monday, September 21st.

The season premier is called "Broken." It features House in Mayfield Psychiatric Hospital causing problems, outwitting the doctors, and taking advantage of his brain power to cause other patients to cower.

Season 6 House teasers seem to indicate that viewers will find out what caused House to snap. In a Fox Source interview with Hugh Laurie he indicates that everything will not be resolved in the season premier, but the puzzle pieces will begin to come together.

Photo teasers seem to show House packing, so I'd expect Dr. Gregory House to be out of the psychiatric hospital during the first episode, but it is clear from the executive producers that he will not be able to practice medicine right away. In fact, House's hospitalization may begin to break the shell and enigma of the self destructive doctor.

Executive producer, Katie Jacobs, indicates that the season premier will focus on House, but that the team will be featured, as they are an integral part of the show.

In fact, Jacobs advised Fox Source that the plot will quickly return to the hospital and diagnostic mysteries. It is the medical mysteries and tense drama that keep me tuning in to House.

I'm sure you will not miss House's hook-up and I hear there is a lot of action in this attraction. The problem she is married with a child, and it's not Cuddy.

Other questions going in to Season 6 of House

One thing is certain; there will not be enough time in the season premier of House to answer all the questions built up in Season 5.

• How will Dr. Gregory House's hospitalization affect the medical diagnostic team?

• Will Foreman continue to develop his independence? Will he challenge House?

• Where will the relationship between Foreman and House go?

• Will Taub resurface, his suicide having been part of House's hallucinations?

• What effect did Chase and Cameron's wedding have on House?

• Will House and Cuddy get together? I doubt it, the tension between House and Cuddy keeps viewers wondering and tuning in.
