What a Friend We Have in Jesus

Jenny Heart
Churches and Sunday school classes try to teach God's people how to understand how much God loves his people. God loved us so much that he sent his son to die for all people's sins. Think about what this actually means. It means, what a friend we have in Jesus.

A friend should never leave a friend feeling scared or lonely. Jesus never leaves us the Bible tells us over and over again. Jesus is the worlds most unconditional friend.

'Direct my footprints according to your word.' is in written Psalms 119:133. This passage helps Christians want to follow their best friends word, because they know their friend would never steer them wrong. Jesus is the director, to all Christian followers.

Read the book series from best selling author Janette Oke. A few of her titles are:

* Love Comes Softly

* Loves Enduring promise

'No more tears,' were three words used in these series as a reminder of how the love of Jesus takes care of our tears. That's a friend!

These two books start you out on a journey that will leave you feeling that this family story was truly guided by heavens truest friend. Faith and many of prayers prove to be the answer for these families' trials. Each book takes you on a journey of faith and courage. When the people mentioned in this story had trials to face, they folded their hands and prayed. They learn to trust and have faith in their relationship with their heavenly friend.

Jesus is all powerful. He'll never let you down or makes you feel forsaken. He's all people's truest friend. All human beings on this earth need never feel afraid. Why? Our friend is Jesus, that's the answer. Jesus gives us hope. Isn't that what a good friend would do. Think of your earthly best friend. Now! Think about how much this friend loves you. Jesus loves all his people to the ends of the earth. That's a greater love than anyone can give us.

Jesus's loving friendship is everlasting. The word everlasting means never ending. When people remember the story of Christ's birth, everlasting friendship bonds their hearts together. All people remembered who to call their truest friend after that joyous occasion. Jesus lets us know without any doubt that he'll always love us unconditionally. What a friend he is indeed.

Pray, and ask your heavenly to be your friend. Remember he'll be the best friend you'll ever have. Friend's are hard to come by, however Jesus is always beside you. He's ready to help you. Just call out his name.

    Excellent! You step confidently out and invite others to experience the love and friendship that you have found through Jesus Christ. A wonderful testimony of your faith.

    It is wonderful you want Jesus as friend. There is more to understand, however. For instance, Matthew 10:34 quotes him as saying, "Do not think I came to put peace upon the earth; I came to put, not peace, but a sword." Curious what that means?

    He's my best and sometimes, in some situations of my life, he's my only friend.

    Your title really grabbed my soul, remember singing that song every Sunday and Saturday in he the church my father built. There had been a cross burning on the property across from my home. My father was a minister active in the Albany Geogia and Birminham civil rights action and the burning was meant to scare us, especially my grand mother who took care of me, as I hid under the bed and the adults kept watch and talked to themselves all I could think of was that song my grandma taught me. he decided to build that church with his own hands as an act of defiance and love of God and watched him build it brick by brick from my sand box across the street in the front yard, it was one of my earliest memories. Later when it was finished that song was the first we sang in it. Thank you dearly for this.
