Between the men and the women, I must admit both genders did quite well for being the first night of season 10 episode 1. To see how well each couple did I have the set of scores for you from last night's performance.
Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy- First score of season 10= 21
Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani- First score of season 10= 16
Buzz Aldrin and Ashly Costa- First score of season 10= 14
Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood- First score of season 10= 21
Shannen Doherty and Mark Ballas- First score of season 10= 18
Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya- First score of season 10= 23
Niecy Nash and Louie Van Amstel- First score of season 10= 18
Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke- First score of season 10= 18
Jake Pavelka and Chelsie Hightower- First score of season 10= 20
Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough- First score of season 10= 25
Aiden Turner and Edyta Sliwinska- First score of season 10= 15
First couple up was Chad and Cheryl doing the cha cha. Chad had some great moves, and moved on the dance floor like he was born to dance. Chad has some huge talent, watch out.
Second couple up was Shannen Doherty and Mark Ballas dancing to the venetian waltz. For taking on such a dance on the first night, Shannen was quite impressive. Shannen had some mishaps and stumbles, but for such a challenging dance she faired quite well.
Third couple up was Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy dancing to the cha cha. Erin had great feet placement, and was zesty and a funky monkey according to the judges. For first time on the floor, Erin did quite well..and for Mak, well he's just a cutie.
Fourth couple up was Jake Pavelka and Chelsie Hightower dancing to the venetian waltz. Jake went from Bachelor to a potential dancer. Even though he screwed up a few times, Jake did surprise me. I wasn't expecting Jake to be that good, oh and I loved the rose.
Fifth couple up was Niecy Nash and Louis Van Amstel dancing to the cha cha. Niecy was full of energy, but the performance was quite flat. Niecey lost her concentration throughout the dance.
Sixth couple up was Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya dancing to the venetian waltz. Evan was very graceful, and performed extremely well on the dance floor. His chemistry was lacking, but overall he did really great.
Seventh couple up was Buzz Aldrin and Ashley Costa dancing to the cha cha. Heck for an 80 year old man I think did an amazing job. Buzz was full of great energy and had the audience wanting more. Buzz was a definite inspiration to many even though his score was low.
Eighth couple up was Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough dancing to the venetian waltz. Nicole blew the competition away, so graceful and full of beauty. I feel Nicole had some huge advantage though, since she was already dancing in her group The Pussycat Dolls.
Ninth couple up was Aiden Turner and Edyta Sliwinska dancing to the cha cha. The dance was full of nothing. Everything went wrong from beginning to end. Aiden looked great, but he needs to step things up next week.
Tenth couple up was Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani dancing to the venetian waltz. Kate did alright for not having any experience.
Last couple up was Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood dancing to the cha cha. Pamela surprised me, I thought she was going to do horrible, but she actually did quite ok.

Post a CommentGreat recap!
I'm surprised you didn't mention that Vienna was in the audience with Gia next to her. Huh?
I agree with Charlotte!
I probably won't see much of this, so I'll just read your recaps:)
Thanks for the recap
I was actually surprised the majority did so well. Here's hoping Kate is the first to go. I still can't stand that woman.
Nice recap, I fell asleep! Cheers :)
Kate was awful, hehehhehehehe and she looked even worse! Loved it! Hope the old dude goes home fist, then Kate.
Great write-up!
