What Happened to Heath Ledger?

What Happened to Heath Ledger? - The coroner's examination said that the cause of 28 year-old actor Heath Leger's death is inconclusive. So what could this actor, who was still a young man have died from?

The police have now come out to say that they do not think that Heath Ledger's death was a suicide. The several other possibilities that are still out there are that he could hav overdosed on some kind of illegal drug, he could have overdosed on a legal drug such as Ambian, he could have taken the wrong mix of medication, which would result in a deadly cocktail or he could have died of something natural that is not immediately obvious.

This much we do now. Early on the morning of his death, Heath Ledger flew from London to New York on Virgin Atlantic. There are also reports that he was sick with pneumonia and a few people witnessed that he did not seemt o be feeling well at the airport.

The police reported that there were several kinds of medication found next to Heath Ledger's body. TMZ is reporting that five kinds of medication were found. The anti-anxiety pills Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium) and Lorazepam (Ativan) were found in the apartment along with the sleep aids Zoplicone (Lunesta) and the sedative Temazepam (Restoril). All of these bottles showed prescriptions to Ledger and all were nearly full. Their nerly full perscriptions seem to rule out the theory that he overdosed on the drugs.

Heath Ledger's sickness that day could be the reason that he died. If he took some of the medications found in his room that night and mixed them with any kind of over-the-counter or prescription medicine for his illness, than he could be risking his health.

The police also reported that a rolled up $20 bill was found near Ledger's body. This seemed to lay credence to the possibility of him overdosing on illegal drugs, but not so fast. The bill was taken from the room and tested for drugs, of which no traces were found. Ledger's apartment was also said by medics to not look like the usual seen that they see drug overdose victims in. Sure that doesn't fully rule out the possibility, but it helps.

The other possibility is that he died from something natural. This happens more often than people think, that a seemingly healthy man would just die of natural causes. You see it in runners and sports players whose deaths are reported. If something like a heart defect went untreated in ledger it could have led to his death. Like a ticking timebomb this is possible in some people.

While it is now being widely reported that Ledger had a substance abuse problem, it does not appear at this time like an overdose of drugs cause his death. It also does not appear that he tried to commit suicide. It looks like Ledger's death was either caused by a natural defect in his body or a mix of legal drugs that could have become deadly in the right combination.

While it is not known now exactly what Ledger died from we will get more answers in a few weeks when the full report on Ledger is complete.

Did he maybe try for a suicide "attempt" (meaning - did he think he would be "rescued" by his maid and/or masseuse)?
