What Happens when Alien Life Forms Come to Our Planet
What happens when alien life forms come to our planet? Will we be able to accept the fact that there is other intelligent life in the universe?
Human Race
Surely we as the human race have got to be the most egotistical group of species around. We think that we are so high and mighty above all other creatures. Look at what we've done to the planet that we live on. Look at the way we treat each other. We fight each other, put it on a big screen; and call it entertainment. Yet, we lock up people who commit acts that they see on the big screen in real life.
We Live Like Savages
If, I was an alien; from another world, I wouldn't want to come into contact with the human race. To be honest, sometimes we live like savages. It's no wonder that we haven't found any intelligent life in the universe yet. Sometimes I think that if we did find intelligent life in the universe that there would be people that would want to dissect the alien life forms like they do a frog in science class.
Egos
People value their egos so much that they'll do anything to avoid the truth just so they can feel better about themselves. People lie, cheat, and steal material goods in the hopes that it will make them happy.
Happiness
People don't realize that happiness comes from within.
Utopia
Happiness is not something that you can buy at a store. Happiness comes from your heart. When you have sheer joy; that's when you have reached utopia.
Way Of Life
Happiness is a way of living life; happiness is not a destination. If happiness were a destination, there would be millions of people that were happy.
Material Goods
Happiness can't be about the material goods in the world because there are people that have everything on the face of the Earth, and they still aren't happy. And, vice versa.
Alien Life
Why would alien life want to come into contact with humanity? I can think of one reason and that would be to tell us to stop sending out negative energy into the universe.
Power Today
We have the power today to blow up the whole planet. And worst yet, there are people known as terrorists today who'd be more than willing to give up their own life in order to do it.
Earth
Then we go back to the issue of alien life forms; which is life that doesn't originate on planet Earth.
Racism
If alien life forms came to our planet, would we be able to live together peacefully? Would it give birth to a new form of Racism? Would people discriminate against aliens because they're not from this Earth?

The author is correct. But he left out how disgusting a creature humans are. Now we are covered.
Interesting way to look at the topic.
one of the worst things i've read. Not only does the hypocritical nature of the author shine through, but his claims are based solely on the cliche notion that man is inherently evil and self-serving.
To the author: stop being such a pessimist. People who believe what you believe are often the people who cause the world to SUCK. Get a life. Stop wasting your time with your stupid, immature and naive rant and actually produce something that can help this world you've condemned. Your ignorance infuriates me.
what a cynical, cliched article. this took no effort or thought, just a lot of pop theorism with no grounding in an actual philosophical/scientific discussion. why would aliens process anything we sense in any similar way, much less understand our culture from a glance? and which terrorists are trying to destroy the planet? regardless of the fact that we can't actually destroy the planet.
