Throughout this article I was amazed at how far technology has come. I hope the readers will also be amazed. One of the most shocking items at the CES appears in the form of a 150-inch HDTV manufactured by Panasonic. This is one of the biggest televisions in the world. It's remarkable how a HDTV is as big, as or bigger than a movie screen. You usually pay to see movies in theaters on a gigantic screen. Technology has surpassed my expectations. Now if I choose or can afford, I can have movie night every night without going out.

Get your 3D glasses ready, gamers and movie goers. Now you can feel like you're always in you're favorite movie or game. Most of us have imagined this day of casually watching television or playing a game in 3D. It's new and here. You may need 3D glasses to get the full effect with the new Samsung 3D Plasma television. Another manufacturer also in the running for best 3D television is LG with its 42" 3D LCD. As a gamer and movie watcher, I can't wait. I'm excited to see how video games will appear in 3D. Most gamers will go gaga for this. Movie watchers, there was something that should interest you if the 3D didn't win you over. Its three little letters DLP. Showing at the 2008 was a gigantic DLP manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is powered by 2 DLP Digital Projection Lighting. They should provide a beautiful projection on this television.

Another innovative product, in this CES 2008 is OLED (Organic LED). Samsung has made this very thin television with a screen size of 13 and 31. It turns electricity into organic material which lights up, and gives the viewer an infinite amount of color. LCD or Plasma televisions usually require constant back-light. However, this television doesn't, and it can go totally dark or totally light. The contrast ratio is excellent on this television which should provide rich and outstanding colors for any consumer to view. Sony also has an OLED, and is considered as one of the thinnest amongst other HDTV's. It measures about 3mm thick and 11 inches wide. Sony also has a larger version that has a 27 inch screen, and 10mm thick.

OLEDS, HDTVS, LCDS, and DLPS have set a new precedent for the electronic world. Manufacturers have become more innovative, as we look towards the future. As a consumer it's so many new televisions to choose from. They all have something different to offer the viewers. This year has brought some most-wants and most-haves. I can only imagine the holiday rush this year, carts filled with OLEDS, HDTVS, LCDS, or DLPS. What televisions are going to claim this year's hottest television amongst consumers this 2008-2009? Can't wait to see!
