America loves these two wholesome and graceful women. They manage to be simultaneously strong and feminine, both high-earning and family-oriented. Some American women would envy their lifestyle, but you can only imagine what the price for fame is and having to overcome the stereotypes of beautiful women. Michelle has been quoted on IMDB as saying: "I act for free, but I demand a huge salary as compensation for all the annoyance of being a public personality. In that sense, I earn every dime I make."
Here is some recent news about these stars. In the 10/8/2007 issue of People, Heather sports a 3-page spread and a picture inset on the cover. In this article, she dishes about her recently-begun relationship with dashing Jack Wagner, her former costar on Melrose Place, and how she continues to look so vibrant. She also shares about raising her daughter, Ava, and keeping up ties with ex-husband and father to Ava, Richie Sambora.
According to People's Alexis Chiu, Heather's secret to good looks is this: "I stay out of the sun and sleep in soft sheets. I try and stay positive. And stay around happy people, positive people like my daughter."
Meanwhile, Michelle has been making headlines of her own. On 10/5/2007, it was reported by the American Foreign Press that Michelle has a $100,000 bet with George Clooney that he will get hitched again. She has also been busy on the set of big movies. Michelle released two movies this summer, Hairspray and Stardust. Hairspray was a surprise hit musical in which Michelle played the role of Velma Von Tussle. Her costars include John Travolta, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes, and Nikki Blonsky. Stardust was a different, more fantastic role. Michelle proves to be a true queen of versatility.
Here are a few other similarities to their careers. They've both starred on Fantasy Island and CHiPS. They have both played a role in a Batman production in 1992. Heather starred in the animated Batman series in 1992 while Michelle played Catwoman/Selina Kyle in the film Batman Returns in the same year. Michelle costarred with Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, and Christopher Walken.
Of course, there have to be some differences. One major difference is that Michelle has starred in two musical films: Grease 2 and Hairspray. Heather does not stand out as a musical star. Another difference is that although Heather has starred in a respectable number of movies, she has held a lot more recurring television roles than Michelle. She is well-known for roles on TJ Hooker, Dynasty, Melrose Place, Spin City, and other TV shows of the last three decades.
There is a lot of trivia to get your hands on when you read about Hollywood stars. One thing is certain. Michelle and Heather are great role models for women and girls around the country.
