What is it with Hillary and Obama?

Cathy Pelekakis
I know that a lot of people are watching the newscasts and there is a whole lot of talk about the upcoming presidential election. I watched a debate the other day between Hillary Clinton and Obama. During the broadcast, Hillary stopped and was so very professional. She turned to Obama and told him and the audience that she was truly honored to be there and to be able to debate with him and that he was an impressive opponent. I actually thought that her stating such was classy. Then the very next day, she is addressing a bunch of reporters and she turns on the heat and claims that Obama does not know what he is doing nor is he otherwise worthy of being a presidential candidate. I honestly wish the two of them would grow up and start facing the issues at hand.

We are heading for a recession. There are foreclosures on homes everywhere. The price of gasoline is skyrocketing. We are faced with ever rising utility bill. With the rise in fuel prices, it affects every portion of our lives. The food we purchase in the grocery store is trucked in, therefore if the price of gasoline has risen, then the trucker has to pay more for his fuel, he charges more to the farmer, the farmer cannot afford to eat the cost, he charges more to the consumer and the circle goes on and on.

McCain wants to continue the war and be a carbon copy of the mess that we have in the White House now. When is it going to end? How are the every day citizens, you and I, going to survive? Interest rates are rising, we can not save money. Some times we cannot even go out to a movie because even the cost of the movie has gone to $10.00 a piece for an evening show. There are times that I wish for days of peace and tranquility, the turmoil that we are facing today is at times overwhelming.

I am impartial right now, although I'm leaning towards Hillary as my preference. Unfortunatley I am not able to vote here though.

Great article. I agree that the two of them should face off on issues and not on whether or not they like eachother. And McCain will just bury this country in more debt and deaths of our soldiers.

It's the way of our country. Politics, politics and more politics. I'm an Obama supporter all the way! Great submission!

I am grateful that I live in this country. I have been in many countries around the world and ours is the best.

Well, I guess we should be grateful we live in a country where we can freely express our opinions.

going into Iraq wasn't necessarily a bad thing--in and of itself--it's the way we did it...

In my opinion, Obama is doing nothing wrong and just defending himself, after so many attacks by Hillary, one cannot just let it continue and you have to defend yourself somewhat, but he has always been honest and ran a good, clean campaign and that is why I support him. I believe the picture that was released today by the Clinton Campaign was horrible and people will truly see this come voting time in Ohio and Texas! Very nice Article! :)
