What is Hip Hop Music?
Black people have a way of flowing with their rhythm. They have established their own beats, flow and even rhymes that make their music so unique. Most of hip hop music started in united state,in new york in the 1970's by black Americans and Latinos.Hip hop is more of speaking in rhythm in association with beats. The music which was initially started by people who had the motive of having fun and enjoying their past time ,has grown to be a business.People(rappers) are making millions of money in these industry.Hip hop music can be a nice way of talking to people, being creative and working as an artist.

The industry has changed and people use it as a way to make money and fame. They don't care any more about the word they use and the people who will be listening to the music.Dirty word have been used to please themselves and other people, who I believe are countable.Hip hop has been associated with crime and most people especially Americans think that those people who rap may be associated with gangsters or any other unlawful groups for example those who supply drugs like cocaine. While some allegations may not be true, others are quit true because some of these guys may be reported to be involved in certain crime. For example the famous rapper '50 cent' who was short ,sometimes ago ,8 times has been reported to be having guns and has formed his gang group 'G-unit' that most of the time rap about gangster life.

The famous rapper 'Tupac' who was short,in 1997,was said that the beef they had with 'BIG' also a rapper had led to his death. So hip hop has changed from a way of expressing your self to a money making industry and even to a gangster way of life.

Hip hop is not meant for any of the above, those who started it and feel it can tell you.Hip has been used to define urban culture.
while these is a black dominated industry, white people have also begun to rap like 'Eminem'who raps about life ,sex, women, money and gangster life.

...never in a gang. Read "The Rise and Fall of Death Row Records" if you'd like to verify that. Eminem has never rapped about the "gangster lifestyle." Can you please provide me with a title that Em rapped about gangs? As for hip hop being black-dominated, the artists may be black, but the actual power of it is now lying in mainstream media, hence the reason why so many hip hop artists have turned into rappers and are pressured into making music about gangs instead of upliftment. You think it's a coincidence that 50 sells more records than Mos Def or Lil' Wayne is making more than Talib. The industry is not interested in artists who are speaking up for the culture anymore, and that is more in-depth than just where a person comes from.

I'm wondering how much you really know about the difference between hip hop and rap. ALL of hip hop was created in New York, although the influences of it may date to African instruments and beats, but the actual original rapping dates back to the call and response of artists like James Brown, and that was in the late 60s. Hip Hop was never meant to be a "nice way of talking to people"; it was more political after the days of Afrika Bambataa and Kool Herc, with artists like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Public Enemy and so forth that talked about everything from women's rights to issues in the poverty-stricken communities. As far as I've read about 50 Cent, he was never in a gang. He sold drugs, but I don't recall him being a part of a gang. Gangs are more prevalent on the west coast. 50 may roll with brothas who are from the streets, but everybody who is from the streets is NOT in a gang. He's rolling more with police officers than he would be with a gang. Tupac was
