What is the Hype on Teen Pregnancy?

Stacy Schwebach
Being a teen mom, wow now 13 years later there are television shows about it. Really? Is it that big of a deal? Is sex that important? Are kids left alone that much? What is really sad is that I wasn't even alone. I know that when I was a teen my parents fought about putting me on birth control, now 13 years later I do not regret it, but I want my daughter to know that being a teen mom isn't glamorous, but the biggest regret I have is the pain she went through because not only did the sperm donor break her heart but he did it twice.

Teen pregnancy just leads to the fact that there needs to be more money in the state funds to help the underpaid teen moms that can't make it. I can't make all the ends meet and there are two incomes. I really wish that the deadbeat teen dads out there would get caught sooner and there should be a program out there to make sure that they know what they are doing.

What they are doing emotionally in the long run to their child, financially, and that karma will come around. You would think that in today's society that there would be more funding to make sure that there would be less teen pregnancy. Were on the second season of Teen mom, wow is all I can say. After going through it myself and then watching the show I know that I would want to make sure I never go through something like that for a while.

I already have a plan that since my child has started her period that after a year no matter what she will go on the right birth control for her and that will prevent the teen mom syndrome that is going around. I think that making sure I do what I can to prevent what could be inevitable than I can save her. It's not giving her permission but telling her that if she does it that she is protected.
