I am a dreamer by nature. I can come up with some dandy ideas and plans that usually fall apart in the follow-through. There are so many things in my head and my heart to write and to do. Yet I end up writing and doing very little of what's inside me. Sometimes I wonder why I am wired this way. It just doesn't seem fair to have a million miles a minute mind inside this 35 mile per hour body. But it's here, and it's me. But what if, just once I could transcend myself and accomplish all that I can put my hand to do?
What if I could?
What if I could
Unlatch all the expression within me
Unleash all the creativity men can't see
I would be more then than I will ever be
Sometimes I think there is too much within me
More than I can ever dispense humanly
I wonder why this is the way I'm meant to be
Because for so much flood, my river flows lazily
What if I could, though?
Write all day without getting sleepy
Finish every poem, news or story
That wants to flow and gush out of me
What if I could?
