What If We Loved as Much as Those Who Seek to Destroy Hate

Shelby Evans
Those who bring about destruction and seek to destroy us are passionately and fully committed to their goals of causing destruction and chaos. Apparently, they are well organized and have evidently developed massive financial support required to accomplish their deadly killing missions. They use the strength of negative energies to draw participants to them, to woo and train these followers into hating us so much that many are willing to strap an explosive device around their bodies and march off defiantly and with specific intent to go to a specified location and cause as much destruction as possible while ending their own life as well.

With this deadly and horrifying practice, many of us are bewildered, as we wonder how such horrible acts of specific intent for destruction can be stopped. If these people are so committed to our destruction that there are absolutely no limits to which they will go to achieve their goals, what can we do? Is the only option to determinedly seek them out and destroy them with military might? The problem is that war and force just makes them angrier and more resentful and filled with more hatred.

What if the intention of living by the qualities of love, peace, kindness, giving and forgiving became such a strong force of unlimited scope so that we were able to dispel and dissolve this hatred with an army of consciousness might based on the power of love and good will for everyone? Is that possible or just "pie in the sky" silly and foolish thinking?

And what exactly does that mean? I believe that if enough of us were able to come to truly understand and align our thoughts and activities with these qualities of love and peace, kindness, giving, and forgiving that we would see the end of fighting, bigotry, prejudice and hatred. A specific intent of living by these principles would turn into cooperation, acceptance, understanding, peace and love. This is because we would see things differently; we would see beyond our differences. We would accept each other without the need to judge, critcize and gossip about our fellow humans. We would stop blaming each other, and we would each personally accept the responsibility for our own contributions to chaos. We would become unstuck with no limits if we see things differently. Around every corner we would see opportunities and possibilities instead of retreating silently to glum thoughts and deeds or negative close minded and argumentative responses.

We would see the works of people like Nelson Mandela, not only as an inspirational figure as someone with special powers and abilities to live so profoundly peacefully and who has been able to bring about powerful positive changes. We would discover that each of us is capable of contributing to the reshaping of our world into a positive, loving, nurturing place to live with abundance, productivity, and joyfulness for every single person in the world.

"For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others." - Nelson Mandela
