What it's Really Like to Only Have Sweets to Eat

What it is like to Only Have Cakes and Cookies to Eat

Years ago while I was still attending school, my parents would often have financial lack. One year we cut off food, we usually go without electricity and the phone instead, but it was the groceries that was cut off.

There was no way to buy food, so we were going to the local food markets and asked for the throw aways. Only one store would allow us to have it, and most if it was junk food, like cub cakes and cookies.

I have heard many people ask what it would be like to only have junk food to eat. Well here is a true story about it.

At first I did not realize the food had been cut off, I did not know why we had a freezer full of cakes and cookies. This was puzzling to me until I noticed we were eating only cup cakes.

They taste good and sweat, if you can stand not getting sick from so much sugar, you can eat a lot. I had a good tolerance to sugar, I used to walk to the store and buy candy bars with a soda, and have it ate up before I came home.

I do not remember how many days later after eating cake and cookies, that I was tired of them. Cake and cookies will make you sick from eating to many, but I discovered a new sickness they can cause. Thanks to God we were also able to get some bread. Moving away from cake and cookies, and only eating bread is what we did next.

We had different kinds of bread, like crescents, and cheese bread. It was much more desirable than anything that was sweat.

This gets old after a while to, and you start having thoughts about eating your cats, and trying to go out and catch some food. Meat was a luxury, and it was most desired, even some cheese would have been extremely good.

Finally one day after about a month, my parents were able to buy some groceries, and we could eat what I called, "food". As for anything like candy, the answer was simply, "No, I would like to have a tomato instead."

I will eat sweat things today, and even desire it, but I do not want to ever have to live on junk food again. If you get into a situation like this, know that it is better to have plain bread than sweat things. If you can, load up the bread, then if there is room, load the junk food.

Very interesting. As someone with a real sweet tooth, I have sometimes thought that I actually COULD live on just sweets (I say that with regret!). It's good to know that they become tiresome after awhile :)
