David James Elliot played Harmon Rabb Jr. from 1995 to 2005 in one of the most popular military shows or show about lawyers in the history of television, JAG. The show was both a popular military show and popular show about lawyers, as those in the military investigated, prosecuted, and defended those charged with treason, terrorism, murder, and more minor crimes. His greatest success came in JAG, but before the series he also played in other television shows and movies: Knots Landing; Street Legal; Melrose Place; Seinfeld; The Untouchables; and Police Academy 3: Back in Training. Before becoming an actor he dreamed briefly of being a rock star and briefly dropped out of high school to pursue his dream.
