What else do Jews do on December 25th?
Let My People Go is an organization that sets out to prepare "the Nation's Biggest Jewish Singles Events" on Christmas eve and other dates. 'The Ball' has been known to host over 3,000 singles in one event in NYC, but balls are spread throughout the nation, in places such as Los Angeles, Miami, Washington DC, Atlanta and more. The NY ball takes place in three different nightclubs, with limousine service between them.
The Matzo Ball party is another singles event with national locations. It takes place on December 24th, and tickets cost $25. From the website: "Hosted by the Society of Young Jewish Professionals, the Matzo BallĀ® has been named the "Nation's #1 Holiday Party" by USA Today. Now in its 20th year, this extravaganza is being held at the hottest clubs in 6 cities".

Many people like to go out to eat, braving the quasi-empty city streets. Kosher establishments are open on Christmas Eve, as are Chinese food places, and we all know how much American Jews love Chinese Food, for reasons I cannot fathom.
Now that we've solved the mystery of what Jews do on Christmas, I wonder if Muslims do exactly the same.

I'm sharing this with my Jewish friends! (and FIL!) Loved the light-hearted read while being educated about another culture. Such as this is greatly needed right now! Keep up with the great contributions.
Thanks for this article! I've always wondered the same thing.
