She may be best known for her breakout role in the WB cult classic television show Felicity (for which she won a golden globe in 1999), but actress Keri Russell has been a working actor since her 1991 role in The Mickey Mouse Club. One of the lesser known Mouseketeer's, Keri sang and performed alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera as a child actor. She later landed a role in the 1992 film Honey, I blew up the Kid.

Born Keri Lynn Russell in Fountain Valley, California, Russell has worked in television and film with only a short break after Felicity ended in 2002 until her next role in 2005 for the film The Upside of Anger, staring Kevin Costner. Prior to that she also did a brief stint in an off Broadway play, Fat Pig, in 2004. She married her husband, Shane Dreary, a carpenter, on February 14, 2007 and had a son. She is frequently photographed shopping and running errands in NYC with her son, River. Although she has remained out of the limelight, she has consistently worked in Indie films and has taken small parts on television shows since her short break after Felicity ended. Most notably, her major Hollywood film debut after Felicity was in the J.J. Abrams directed film Mission Impossible: III alongside Tom Cruise in 2006. Russell started appearing in tabloids at that time as she was reported to have begun practicing Scientology, at the urging of Tom Cruise, which she never confirmed.

She took the lead role in a 2007 small indie film that was widely received at the Sundance Film Festival, Waitress, but which became more notorious as the film's director and writer, Adrienne Shelly, who was murdered after the film's release.

Keri did a spread for Details magazine in December 2008, to promote her role in the Adam Sandler film Bedtime Stories which showed a different side of the otherwise demure Russell.

In January 2010, Keri will be staring in the film Extraordinary Measures, which was filmed this past spring in Vancouver, and co-stars Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford. The film, inspired by true events, is based on a man who found out both his children suffered from an incurable disease, and his persistence in teaming with a scientist to find a cure. She is also rumored to be in the running for the female lead, alongside Ryan Reynolds, for The Green Lantern against other actresses Jennifer Garner, Diane Kruger, Eva Green, and Blake Lively.
