What is this kingdom
Whatever can it be
A monarch and a throne
Some metal crown
Upon some human head
Some army in the wings
A smack down of the people
When needed
A deadly force
A huge put down of life

What is this kingdom jesus spoke of
And is said to have embodied
And what are we to make of all this now
That we have it down in black and white

The Jesus Seminar calls this imperial rule
So i have good authority for saying
That it may not be monarchy
That was King James
But what the writers meant was governance
With a club of some sort
