What You Should Know About Cash Back Credit Cards

Norah Faith
Have you ever seen the offers made by credit card companies saying that they will give you cash back on all your purchases through that company? Sounds like a deal right? Who doesn't like free money? Is this offer for real or is it too good to be true? These offers can be very real, but some seem to offer much more then they really do.

Many cards that make offers of cash back on purchases usually give you about 1% cash back. They don't give you cash back on every purchase either, only giving cash back on certain items. Some companies have a limit on how much cash back they will give you a month. If you do go for one of these offers, read the really small print on the contract. It has all the unspoken sneaky back doors in it. Look for the part about Terms and agreements. You should find all the limitations there.

Offering cash back credit cards is a technique used by credit card companies to draw in new customers. These companies are usually strict when choosing who they will give a card to though. They generally do a credit report, looking for people with a high credit rating.

There are legit cash back credit cards out there. Investigate and research different credit card companies and what there cash back plans are. Look for the limitations and terms. You may find a card that gives you a good cash back percentage and direct money back deposits. A new credit card company will some times have a better deal because it is trying to get on its feet and grab new customers.

When you go to choose a credit card you will most likely be limited to your credit rating. If you have a good credit rating, you can get up to 3% cash back and almost no limits. If your credit rating is low, then you may have to settle for a cash back plan of only 1%. You may not even be eligible for a cash back credit card.

If you shop a lot and spend a lot every month, then a cash back credit card can be great. You simply need to make sure you understand the limits and terms before hand and you need to research thoroughly before accepting a cash back credit card. Once you've done all this you could save a lot of money!
