Destination weddings have become a new trend for tying the knot. There are a few things to consider, though, while you are planning your destination wedding.

The Location

• Choosing a venue where you can have all of your events is always a good bet. For example, choose a resort or hotel where you can have your ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner. If you or your guests need to change or grab a quick cat nap, everything is close by.

• Keep it intimate. By having a shorter guest list, you can make your destination wedding a more lavish event. For those who you have to eliminate from the list, plan a reception after your return.

• Pick a venue you love "as-is". The more beautiful a venue is on its own, the less you have to spend on décor.

• Check the weather. If you want to have your wedding in the Caribbean, you may not want to go during hurricane season. The Dress
