These prescription medications can be addictive, and is given under very close supervision of your doctor and at that they are generally only given for a short period of time. In addition to their addictive qualities, there can also be serious side effects to these prescription pain relief medications that include drowsiness, breathing problems and stomach upset,

Antidepressants for Prescription Pain Relief

By bringing relief to emotional illnesses as well as pain, antidepressants are often prescribed. Antidepressants work on the chemicals in the brain and by adjusting the neurotransmitters in the brain. These antidepressants can work effectively as a prescription pain relief to those suffering from chronic pain, since they will bring a feeling of well-being and relaxation as well as pain relief. The dosages of these antidepressants that are required to treat pain are much lower than those needed to treat depression, so they are designed to work over the long term, and The side effects of these prescription pain relief medications include difficulty urinating, blurry vision, constipation and fatigue.
