What is the Largest Crowd to Ever Watch a College Football Game?

When the Michigan Wolverines opened up their newly-remodeled Michigan Stadium this weekend, they expected a big crowd in attendance, but the amount of fans in attendance was even bigger than expected as a record was set for the biggest college football crowd to ever watch a game.

The Michigan vs. Connecticut game was attended by 113,090 people and became the largest crowd to ever see a college football game.

The Michigan Wolverines won the game by a score of 30-10 over the Huskies, and they are expecting even bigger things over the course of the rest of the season.

The record may end up being broken, however, and that's something to definitely keep in mind as the season goes on.

While the UMass and Bowling Green games won't likely be nearly as well-attended, the Michigan State game in particular could set another record.

Ohio State doesn't play at Michigan this year but Michigan-OSU games always have the biggest crowds, especially when media and special guests are taken into account, and yet another record could be set in 2011.

But for now, the Michigan-UConn game on Saturday, September 4 stands as the record-holder for biggest crowd to ever watch a college football game.
