What I Learned About Humor and Other Important Stuff from Associated Content Producers
IDA Tarbell and I Recognize Accomplished Associated Content Producers and Writers: October 30-November 5
Lori Lane's quirky letter to Santa Claus made me smile.
As did Theresa Leschmann's article about their family's move from Chicago to southern Illinois and how she went from urban city girl to back to the earth farmgirl!
I began to chuckle when I read Jeff Musal's music review of Miley Cryus and his assessment that she has the musical ability of an eggplant. Ouch! But ...since I agree..I laughed!
And then the smiles and chuckles turned into outright guffaws when I read David Reinstein's article on creative turkey seat covers. That's all I can say, you have to read it if you haven't!
The subject of SEO writing and how to increase page views was covered in her own unique way by Nancy Canfield and garnered some more laughter from Ida and I.
Timothy Sexton wrote a satirical essay on his recent night visitation by dead and beheaded French revolutionist Georges Danton. It is indeed my favorite article for the week and I an in awe of the writing of Timothy Sexton. I put it in the humor section, but it's the kind of humor that can also make you cry. And while I laughed, the seriousness of his Mark Twain satire on this piece almost made me cry!
While there are hilarious humor articles at Associated Content, I am constantly amazed at the depth of knowledge and intelligent opinion that Associated Content writer's present in their articles.
Stewart Lodge wrote a fair and balanced article on the Supreme court ruling to deny convicts the right to a DNA test to prove their innocence.
Julia Beirut addressed the devastating rape of the Richmond, California high school student by a gang of boys and how that community and that young girl is seeking justice and healing.
Carol Roach has begun writing a series of psychology articles and they are quite informative. The one that both debunks the Law of Attraction theory as pseudo science, but then explains why parts of the theory might just attract some good stuff to your life is so well do
Kathy Browning's touching memoir of her mother's struggle with lung cancer and how it enriched their relationship will make you cry. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2357862/the_bittersweet_side_of_lung_cancer.html?cat=43
From laughter to tears, just another week of learning on Associated Content. IDA and I tip our hat to all the talented, informed and clever content producers writing for Associated Content.

Post a CommentBeautiful 'snipet' of some of the wonderfully unique interactions among the kindnesses between AC writers - so different from many other publishing companies/online magazines.

Great list, who knew SEO could be funny?
Thanks for the recommendations.
In my opinion, original pieces are better than the summary of headlines. It's good to highlight those that compose original work.
