What to Do with Leftover Halloween Candy

Steps to Get Rid of Leftover Halloween Candy

Kid-Romeo
Halloween is here again and that means it's time for trick or treating. Many kids all over the world will be going trick or treating on Halloween night. The main reason that everyone loves to go trick or treating is for all the candy. Adults love trick or treating just as much as kids because everyone has a sweet tooth no matter how old you are. There is one problem though with getting candy on Halloween, the left over candy. If your kid gets a lot of candy there is no way it will all be eaten in a day or two. Many of us throw it away or something but there are many things you can do with the leftover candy. In this article I will write about what you can do with the leftover Halloween candy.

The first thing you can do with leftover Halloween candy is freeze it. My aunt freezes everything that she will not be eating for a while. It usually tastes perfect after she removes it from the freezer and lets it thaw. When you freeze something no matter what it is it also prevents it from spoiling so you can keep it frozen for months. The chocolate or any other candy will be fine if frozen and will be enjoyable for everyone at a later date.

The next thing you can do with leftover Halloween candy is to design something. May people and artists have designed things with candy. This can be very fun for kids and adults alike. There are many different ideas you can come up with to design different things. You can make statues, art, pictures, place holders, and so on. Designing things with candy is a tasty and fun thing to do with your kids.

The next thing you can do with leftover Halloween candy is to decorate with it. You can make lots of stuff just like with the design mode. You can decorate with candy by making designs for your house. You can add nice effects to a picture frame with small candy. You can make Christmas tree ornaments which everyone would love. The possibilities are endless when it comes to designing things with candy.

The next thing you can do with leftover Halloween candy is to make stuff for you. You can add certain candy to your clothes and make cool buttons. You can also make candy necklaces, bracelets, and rings for your kids and their friends. Eventually if you wear the candy it will be eaten but this just makes it more fun before you eat it. Another idea is to use the candy in a piñata for any celebration. Having a piñata is a lot of fun when the candy spills out, so this would definitely be a good idea for leftover candy.

The next thing you can do with leftover candy is to throw it away. Sometimes too much of one thing is good for nothing. This will anger your kids and probably you buts it's for the best. Too much sugar is not good for anyone know matter how healthy you are. So if you eat some Halloween candy that night the next day or two you should be done with it. Candy is available all year round so there is no reason to stuff yourself with it. Then you're sick with your stomach and cannot do anything else fun. So I believe that once you get your candy check it, eat it, share it, and then throw the rest away.

The next thing you can do with leftover candy is to cook with it. My grandma and aunt usually make cakes, cookies, tarts, and add candy with them. Adding candy to any sort of baked good is always a great tasting treat. Chocolate is especially one of the best ingredients in any baked treat. This way your candy is not just a bunch of wasteful pieces of sugar. Another thing you can make with your candy is smores. If you have chocolate or you can use any other kind of candy for a fun treat. Smores are easy to make you just melt the candy with a marshmallow and place that between two graham crackers. You can also use your candy to make a gingerbread house for Christmas. Many people love gingerbread houses and there full of candy so this would be a perfect idea. These are all very tasty and enjoyable treats you can do with leftover candy.

The next thing you can do with leftover candy is store it in bottles. If you take your candy and store them in air tight bottles they will stay fresh for a long time. This may be better than freezing your candy. If you freeze it you have to thaw it before you can eat it. Sometimes the candy can take frost or freeze bites which would not be a good thing. Make sure the bottle is sealed very tight so air cannot get into the bottle and spoil your candy.

The next thing you can do with leftover candy is to give it away to other people. There are so many places you can bring the leftover candy such as your school, job, church, friends, grandparents, shelter, mall and so on. People who didn't get any candy for Halloween would be so happy. The best thing about giving is seeing the people's faces light up. You will get praised so highly for thinking of everyone who didn't get candy and this will help you feel very good inside

The final thing you can do with leftover candy is to use it again. What use it again means is to use the unwanted candy for trick or treaters. The candy that you or your kids don't want should not be thrown away unless it's no good. If you don't have trick or treat candy this would be perfect for the kids coming to your door. This will make the other kids happy and you will feel good that you shared some of your earrings.

Halloween is a time for fun and a time to eat lots of sweets. These are some things you can do when you have to many sweets. Remember to not let your kids eat too much because not only will they probably get sick they will be very hyper and not stop whining. Have a safe Halloween and don't eat too many sweets.

Halloween candy can cause tooth decay and diabetes so be careful to not eat to much candy.

All great ideas for using the candy. My kids get so much on Halloween that they could not possibly, nor will I let them, eat it all. Frozen chocolate can be eaten frozen, my husband especially loves frozen peanut butter cups on occasion. Great article!

These are all really creative ideas! You really can only eat so much candy before doing something else with it.

Great ideas. I like the "sharing with others" and making different things. One can only eat so much candy. It's good to use it for other things as well. :-)

I especially like the pinata idea. :-)
