I like old friends, comfortable homes, and distant lands where tiny dragons stare at you from between the cracks in the ground. I like cats in hats, lizards with guns, and shadows with knives. I like a cry in the dark, a scream from above, and a defiant shout from the bloody wreckage. I like a secret in the dark, a knife in the street, and a dead face staring from a haunted place. I wonder at the new, relish the old, and enjoy the mysteries of the present. I like the wonder, relish the despair, and cheer the eternal fight. I love the familiar, despise the usual, and relish hope, both crooked and straight.
