A link farm is simply a term used to a webpage or website that serves no real purpose other than to provide links to other websites. These links are devalued by Google and can actually penalize your overall search engine results positioning if you use too many of them. It should be known, however, that there are now new ways to set up link farms which will not penalize your ranking but rather be beneficial.
This method is blog farms, or blog link farms. Because Blogspot offers free hosting of blogs this is a great method. You can pump out many different blogs and have them on different class C IP addresses as well as keep them from all being linked to you. Doing this helps to keep the different link farms separate and ensures that you don't get penalized for building backlinks in this fashion. If you have learned what a link farm is and are interested in trying one then a blog link farm is the recommended route, here is the method:
The first thing that you need to do is sign up a bunch of blogger accounts and make a blog on each one. Start with about 5 blogs just to get the hang of things.
Pull out some content for each blog, 5-10 posts and make sure they are at least semi unique. Remember, relevant backlinks hold more weight so try to keep all of the blog posts on theme with whatever website you are trying to build backlinks for.
Link the blogs together, but indirectly. Get some free backlinks to your blog link farm in order to have it provide more powerful backlinks, remember you don't want them to easily be associated as all by you though. To do this simply link blog 'A' to blog 'B' and then blog 'B' to blog 'C', now link blog 'C' to blog 'A', etc. This way your blogs don't exchange links directly.
Build a few backlinks for each blog, submit them to a couple social bookmarking websites and perhaps make a blog comment or two. Remember, you are going for as many blog link farms as possible here, not a few high authority ones.
Now provide a backlink to the website that you are attempting to promote, as a site wide or blogroll link, on each blog. From these 5 blogs you have just gained at least 50 backlinks, which are split up over different class C IPs!
Rinse and repeat this method, the more blog link farms you make the better you will rank in search engine results pages.
