What Makes "Criminal Minds" so Interesting?

The CBS police drama "Criminal Minds" airs on Wednesdays at 9PM ET. What makes "Criminal Minds" so interesting and different from other police dramas is that the show concentrates on the criminal more than the crime itself. Joe Mantegna plays Davd Rossi. Rossi is the founder of the BAU. Shemar Moore plays Derek Morgan. Morgan is a very confident character and intelligent, who was a troubled teen, who worked hard to overcome his past. Matthew Gray Gubler plays Dr. Spencer Reid. Reid is a genius who graduated from high school at the age of 12. The other characters are introduced as Agent, but Reid is introduced to others as doctor. Because of his age ex-Agent Gideoon was afraid people would take him seriously because of his age. Kirsten Vangesness plays Penelope Garcia. She is the teams analyst and they call on her often when they need information. She and Morgan are very close friends and he refers to her as Babygirl.

When doing criminal profiling the team on "Criminal Minds" uses the evidence from a crime scene and other psychological information, and with that information they are able to specify what type of person is the most likely to have committed the crime that is being investigated. Viewers are amazed by the show and how they use the information to figure out the type of person, who is behind the crime and then find the criminal.
