What Makes the Nintendo Wii Such a Success?

With the release of the Nintendo Wii, November 2006, people have been rushing to get one of these, still after 6 months, your either lucky to have one or waiting in line hoping to get one. What's the success behind this one?

The Nintendo wii's success isn't from commercials and big billboards with the 'Wii' logo. It's from what some people like to call pull factors. What drives people to buy this product.

Today, we can't say that video games are only for kids, because Nintendo changed that in November last year. This console has been selling so well compared to other consoles because they are pulling people from all different age groups to buy it. Mostly the adults and elderly are getting them. Since there are so many of them, this is why most of the sales are from them. The games created for this console are new and made for anyone who is a casual gamer.

What else makes it even better? The Wii's intuitive controller, is new and different from everyone else's. The games that are made for it, are changing and the producers have to find new ways to make their games work. It gives you a new playing style that isn't rough or just pushing buttons. It's also movement!

The Wii also has the ability to show you weather forecast, surf the internet and check the news for updates on what's going on in your region. Making it more for people who aren't used to playing games all the time. Now you can check all that within the click of a button on your television.

Another factor to the Wii's success is what we've all heard before, it helps you get healthy and it's exercise. All the parents eager to get their children to do exercise instead of staring at a screen all day, are just so happy to hear the news that Nintendo has finally taken in their request.

With a 'super backwards compatibility', allowing people to download for a small fee, games from years back on Nintendo's old consoles, this is a chance you don't want to miss.
