Obviously, men rarely have the last word when it comes about serious discussions. Often, they stop somewhere in the middle of the discussion and answer you in a way that apparently means nothing.

Well, those lines mean actually quite a lot - so I thought to explain you some of them.

He says "Do whatever you want"

What he actually says is: 'I don't like the idea, but probably you'll do it anyway, so go ahead.'

What you have to say is: 'Here are some options that I agree with. Why don't you choose that which you like the most?'

He says 'I got tired to fight with you all the time.'

What he actually says is: 'you're trying to make me agree with you, but it won't work.'

What you have to say is: 'I don't want you to tell me something special, I just want to tell what you really think.'

He says: 'I don't care.'

What he actually says is: 'I'm in a bad mood and this discussion won't bring anything good.'

What you have to say is "okay, but it really is important to me. Can we talk tomorrow afternoon?"

He says "Whatever"

What he really means is: 'you talk too much, you don't listen to me and I can't focus.'

What you must say is: 'you're right, I started to repeat myself. It's better to take a break and you can tell me what you think about this.'

Basically, if you follow these steps, you will listen to him (or you'll give him this impression) and even if you don't agree with what he says, the idea is that he will feel better by knowing that you care about his opinion.
