As consumers there really isn't much we can do about the actual price we pay at the pump. OPEC, the domestic oil companies, taxes and world politics are all factors that go into determining the price of gas and we have no control of any of these things. Don't throw up your hands in surrender just yet however, there are things we can do to alleviate the pain of gas prices.
Some of the solutions are simply common sense, if you are not driving your car then you are not burning fuel. If carpooling or public transportation are viable options then they are fairly easy ways to lower your gas consumption. Using your own power, either by walking or riding a bike, are also options if they are practical in your situation. These choices also have the added benefit of helping to keep you healthy and physically fit.
Obviousl y there are times when driving can not be avoided but still, all is not lost. The way we drive affects the amount of fuel we burn. Fast driving, quick starts and stops, and sitting in traffic all causes us to burn more gas. How well our cars are maintained also affects gas mileage. Regular oil changes, making sure the air pressure in the tires stays at the optimum level, and frequent tune-ups will keep your car running as efficiently as possible, thus lowering fuel consumption.
Another option to increase your miles per gallon is a fuel additive called Ethos Fuel Re-Formulator. Also known as Ethos FR, this product reduces engine wear while causing your engine to run cleaner and with more power. Amazingly it does all this while lowering your gas mileage from 7 to 19 percent. It is easy to use, just add one ounce to your tank for every ten gallons of gas. It can also be added to oil to help lubricate your engine. It is non-toxic and biodegradable and can be used with any type of fuel. Although relatively unknown here in America, Ethos FR is used around the world in both commercial and personal vehicles.
Its true that as consumers we can not directly affect the price we pay per gallon at the pump. Our only option is to do what we can t o decrease the amount of fuel that we burn. This is not only helps our wallets but is good for the environment as well.
