What More is in Store for Oprah's Farewell Season?

Can 2011 Top 2010 in Season 25 of "The Oprah Winfrey Show?"

Oprah has always shown generosity toward her audience, but Season 25 has kicked-off with over-the-top, mega dollar surprises! So, are you like me (and millions of other Oprah fans), kicking yourself because you didn't get Oprah tickets before the reservation window closed for her farewell season?

Season 25 Premieres with Oprah's "Ultimate Australian Adventure"

Oprah's kick-off audience of 300 fans were the first lucky group of Season 25 to hear cha-ching ringing in their ears. They were given the thrill of a lifetime on the show's premiere, when Oprah shared the news; they were all traveling with her "down under" for an eight-day, seven-night trip to Sydney, Australia!

In this September 2010 show, Oprah began reminiscing about taking an audience to Philadelphia for a Philly Cheese steak. She then told everyone that she had been racking her brain thinking, "What could we do to top all those Cheese steaks?" The audience caught on and began to scream. She then said, "Should we go to Philly again?", and then "Or maybe we should all go to New York City?" This, of course, drew even more screams! As the excitement subsided a bit, the audience began to realize something even better was brewing when Oprah said, "I thought maybe I should think bigger." That's when some even began to cry. But pure mayhem broke out when she made this announcement, Oprah-style, "We are going to the other side of the world...Australia!" Oh, that Oprah. How she loves a good surprise! Watch the audience reaction.

Oprah's 2010 "Favorite Things" Show

Every year since 2002, Oprah has shared the spirit of the holidays with one fortunate audience, giving them all of her "Favorite Things" in a holiday season special. Since Season 25 will be the last chance for her mega dose of Christmas generosity, it was not surprising that she might outdo herself. In fact, "The Oprah Show" staff had paramedics standing by, should the surprises prove too much for some lucky recipient!

For her final season, Oprah gave away her "Favorite Things" to two audiences, which were filled with deserving, real-life heroes of some sort, creating a two part show.

The first group thought they were attending a show about meditation and wound up with thousands of dollars worth of goodies, including $1,000 toward a custom-built closet by the Container Store, a Sony 3-D TV ($3,600), a diamond watch ($2,475 value) and, as if that wasn't enough, her final mega gift, a one-week cruise on the biggest cruise ship in the world, Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas! Watch it here.

The second audience thought they were part of a show about giving back, having done so themselves. This amazed group got another astonishing stash of items, that included a Coach purse ($398), an Apple iPad ($499), Jessica Leigh Diamond Earrings ($1,900), LeCreuset cookware ($599), a Nikon Digital Camera ($699) and the final huge surprise, a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle (which hasn't even been released yet)! I wonder if either group wished they had been on the other show?

With Oprah's 25th Season not even halfway over, this might be just the start of a year filled with audience tears and lots of "Oh my Gods!" Of course, only Oprah's staff knows what is up Ms. Winfrey's generous sleeve, but with her big heart and mischievous nature, it only makes sense that Oprah fans should be braced for more amazing surprises. After all, after kicking off the 25th Season of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" with such a big roar, it is doubtful the Queen of Talk Shows will say good-bye to her fans going out like a lamb!
